We're getting the songs and moves down, now we have to think about what we'll wear.
The show is set in the early 1900s in Iowa. The costumes look like a fancy version of "Little House on the Prairie" garb.
I donned an interesting-looking huge purple jacket and skirt. Costume guru Madge shook her head no. Madge is in charge of finding 120 costumes for this show. There are 25 lead actors and 40-some people in the chorus.
OMG, I can't even imagine.
And, here she is recovering from a broken arm.
She has a couple of seamstresses to assist her, but holy moly what an undertaking.
I'm sure she'd appreciate assistance from anyone who likes to sew...and you know who you are.
I am not fond of sewing.
I prefer stapling or scotch taping, but please don't ask me to sew.
