On March 1-3, 8-10, 2019, we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the show “Spy!: The Manhattan Murder Mystery.”
GFCT is mounting this production in celebration of the group’s 20th anniversary of staging murder mystery dinner theater shows. The original GFCT production of “SPY!” was presented in March 1999 and was directed by the late Dick Stein and produced by Lynn Gorham.
This year’s production is produced in association with Murder Ink Productions and the Queensbury Hotel. “SPY!” is directed by Bob Myers and produced by Sandi Rhodes. The interactive murder mystery is set in May 1945 – just days after the Allied victory in Europe in World War II. A party hosted by Frank and Betty Spencer to celebrate the occasion will also serve as an opportunity for Frank – who just happens to be the chairman of American Aircraft – to announce that his company has been chosen to build several B-29 bombers. But other guests – including a professor in charge of a secret research project, a Soviet military official, and a gorgeous French songbird hired by Frank to provide “entertainment” – will serve to ratchet up the intrigue.
