2024 Scholarship Applications with two $500 awards available!

To apply for a scholarship, one must be enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate program in vocal or instrumental performance, music education, drama education, acting, dance, set design or technical theatre.

Send and email to jillianlgranger@gmail.com, with the subject line GFCT Scholarship Application, no later than May 12, 2024, with the following:

A headshot
A video audition piece or clip from a performance…no longer than 90 seconds
A resume or letter of your performance experience and community involvement
A brief paragraph on the degree you are pursuing and why.

GFCT Awards $2,000 in Scholarships to Area Students in 2018

The Glens Falls Community Theatre awarded $2,000 in scholarships to two area high school students who are attending college and will pursue a degree in music, music education, theater, dance or technical theater.

Scholarships were presented to students at their school’s award ceremony or graduation.

Two $1,000 scholarships were presented to the following students:

Case Prime from Lake George High School. He will be attending Columbia College of Chicago majoring in Music Technology.
Brandon Sarti from South Glens Falls High School. He will be attending SUNY Fredonia majoring in Musical Theater.

The Glens Falls Community Theatre has donated nearly $100,000 in scholarships to talented area students since the 1954-55 season.

Students in 25 school districts in Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties were invited to apply for the Glens Falls Community Theatre scholarships. To apply, applicants needed to be area high school graduates who have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and will be pursuing a degree in music, music education, theater, dance or technical theater. Each applicant was required to audition for and be interviewed by, a panel of judges. Auditions could be a vocal or instrumental solo, a dance performance, a brief dramatic excerpt, reading or monologue. Students receive their scholarships after they have completed their first semester of college.
